All I can add is that before we had SUVs, to go hunting fishing etc in, we used to have estate versions of saloon cars to carry tackle etc. Hence the phrase "shooting Brake".......

The U.S. appetite for good sport wagons is underestimated by German car makers. Not everyone wants an ill-handling, jacked-up, faux-clad vehicle for transporting the family and toys.

Nicely optioned Sport Turismo is going to be a $150k ticket. Stupid expensive but there's nothing else in the States that can compete. Europe is a different story as they're lots of attractive alternatives but it should still do well.

The dealer is the biggest player in this scheme and they have not punished or threatened them in any way...
