Did you go to a catholic school where you got paddled too often such that it scares you to drive a PDKS car because it brings back PTSD symptoms?

I was indifferent about the looks of the RS wing compared to the GT3 wing. After seeing more of the RS, I much prefer the RS wing. It looks much more business like than the GT3 wing. The GT3 looks good, but compared to the RS it looks bulky and plasticky.
The feature I prefer on the GT3 compared to the RS are the rear quarter panels. To me the GT3 bodywork seems to contour the rear wheel better. Like it's pulled tighter over the wheel. More sculpted. The RS seems to flow more as you move over the wheel and to the back. The RS width gives presence, but I like the how the GT3 at least gives the illusion of hugging the wheel more.
No issue here with it being a PDK. It's the first performance car I've had that wasn't a manual, but I like it and wasn't the least bit deterred by only having the PDK available. Still enjoy manuals, and the GT350 scratches that itch.

Dude, we get it. Your grave stone will say I ⤠Sticks; Paddles ğŸ‘Ž. It's like one of those old turntables: we need to put a penny on your head to keep you from skipping and repeating the same line over and over and over.

All I had to do was to keep an open mind...and not be a tightarse! <pun>

Touche' to all. No offense intended towards anyone.
Back on topic. I just remembered something else that was unsure of...sounds crazy but it was the buckets! Although I liked the look of them, I really thought they would be terribly uncomfortable, now I love them and cannot imagine a GT car without them.

We all have our point of view. I absolutely love the 991gt3. Think it's beautiful in proportions. The outside design is well balanced with the interior design.
The RS exterior is awesome, big wing, front fenders like race car. And then they kept the Panamera interior?
We all know they are amazing to drive. Both on the road and track.

I think the original 991.1 GT3 is one of the most beautiful 911s ever made, and well-proportioned aero contributes a lot to it. The wing makes sense in the context of the package.
What rubs me a bit about the GTRS wing are two things:
Combining these points, the GT3RS wing looks a bit like brute force and oversimplification. It could be positive, as in a retro look. To me nothing else about the 991 is retro, so I'm not in that camp.
Some competitors, namely the F12, have huge-***, very visible rear diffusers without a wing. That looks more 2016 to me.
What rubs me a bit about the GTRS wing are two things:
- It is 2016. We should be getting a lot of downforce from under the car (including rear diffuser), fender vents hood vents and assorted pipes integrated into the body (thing db11 fender vent to C-pillar and the F12 cave above the front fender)
- It is not active. I know that the regulations for actual GT3 don't allow active aero. Seen in the context of a high-end 2016 sports car, not including racing regulations, active aero would be a better car feature

Hoping 992 RS is straight up RSR copy.

RS should be barely streetlegal race car. I've asked a few questions about specs for my 991gt2rs.
FiFY. More wing and less everything. Do we actually need carpet for a car to be street legal?
