What say we? Taking orders for the 570s spyder. First come with money first to get in line. The launch spec cars are pretty sweet including a Riveria type blue (curacao) I think looks great.
Shoot me a pm with info & I'll get back via email with a cc deposit form.

I think McLaren may end up racing in GTE / GTLM soon:
Zak has hinted at it recently
McLaren recently moved GT production in house
Factory drivers racing at Le Mans this year - Rob Bell and Alvaro Parente
Chris Goodwin racing in the Road to Le Mans support race

This is an interesting video which speaks to the ballistic speed of mclarens, both the 570s which punches way above its price range, and (spoiler alert) the 675LT which mops up the whole event. Now.. considering how much faster the 720s is compared to the 675LT (Watch a recent salomondrin video for direct comparison and confirmation).. I can't wrap my head around how fast the 720s.
I can say that at Amelia Island when we spoke to mclaren engineers they told us the 720s was "hypercar fast".. I have to believe it.

That video looked like a lot of fun .
McLaren are really dialled in at the moment - the 720S is certainly something special and certainly something to look forward too. The waiting list in certain jurisdictions is very long e.g. over a year, the good news is if you get your deposit down you will get a slot.
Perhaps Porsche could learn from this.

From: Where I get the fresh scent of spent Jet Fuel & see Cold Smoke!
Salmodrin (spelling) just ran his LT agains the 720...it sort of smashed the LT. There is a video floating around over on McLaren Life.
I still love my LT - will never get rid of it. However, let's face it McLaren wouldn't be doing their job if they weren't trying to better each new rendition! There are some guys questioning which will handle better on the track though - I think that race might be a little closer.
Regardless, I absolutely love McLaren's technology, advancement and their ability to completely differentiate themselves from the rest of their competition.

Saw the video - 720s is a beast!
17bhub - 675LT tire advantage should make the two close on the track the 675LT is a very cool car.

Does anyone know why McLs tend to be under tired in general?
On a side note, perhaps unnoticed, since we are talking about success, McL successfully raised about $700MM last week by issuing junk debt, with over $300 MM set to buyout Mr Dennis' stake. Apparently investors are not too worried about them going under in the short term, or its success without Mr Dennis around. More to come from them...

Mclaren road cars are designed to be fun and lively and the suspension is way way better than anything on the market from anyone else.
They have smaller tires to make them livelier, same reason ferrari does as well.

I am in love with the ethos behind the Ford GT, I just don't believe in buying race cars meant for the road for driving on the road (that, and $ and they won't give me one anyway)... but aside from those minor issues, i would still buy a gt3 or an RS because a road car which is good on the track makes a lot more sense to me.
