I found a 2015 GT3 that does not have sport chrono package ,but it does have sport mode button , what is the difference , I don't need the dash clock , I use Harry's lap timer its as close as I need to get . can someone explain what the Sport chrono package adds aside for the track app and dash chrono

 

Have it on mine. PCM shows colours Red, Yellow or Green depending how you are doing on second and subsequent laps. And I love the pimple on the dash which now doubles as a time of day clock when not in Chrono mode.

 

 

Am I correct that the 2014 Sport Chrono lacks Track Precision App? (Basically it's just a clock).

 

The 2014s have the telemetry HW. The App itself is an iPhone app. If you already use Harry's the Sport Chrono option gets you a $1850 clock. I had it on my GT3 and decided against it on the RS.

 

I had it on my GT3 as well and didn't order it on my RS.

 

I never order it, feel like the only "return on investment" options for these cars:

PCCB
Bucket Seats
Li-ion battery
Full Leather
Stitching- (50%)

 

Have you seen yesterday's release of the track precision app? They are starting to do seriously cool stuff

 

Agree with CJ, except for Lithium battery. Time will tell with PCCB, although most buyers seem to want them.

 

Sport just holds the gears when using Auto mode, I don't think it does anything in manual mode.

Also ordered without Sports Chrono...doesn't do anything useful and reflects off the windscreen at night

And lift - which is just as controversial as PCCB.

 

I have lift on mine. Used it once probably didn't need it.

 

PCCB do have a distinct advantage over steel rotors. They don't rust up after you've washed the car!!!!
