You can ball up any car on track even at 7/10th. but I will agree I go faster with track insurance.
Track insurance costs; Call it 2 sets of tires and a set of brake pads in terms of cost per year. No biggie.

Deductable is 5%. Mine wasn't a quarter mil, but $188K++. Others could be had for not a ton of money more and I've been making payments for over a year.

Diminished value from a possible shunt (or blown tire even) and normal depreciation may make mine a $75K RS in 4 years and 50K miles, 100+ track days?
Maybe more, maybe less? I have insurance, its wrapped, over maintained and that's all I can do. Seems perfectly acceptable to me.

Now, feeling sorry beating and punishing such beautiful creatures sounds more like a personal problem
hahaha peter

guilty as charged on mclaren... clearly my choice in buying cars is not affected by anticipated depreciation

yes i am seeing my second therapist weekly so i can better channel my inner cruelty and be happier to flog my cars harder... first i tried to see a therapist suggested by mooty with his advice, later that month i tagged my 7gt3... now i mostly live in igloo watch you tube videos of joe kou setting new pb's weekly while eating pork rinds

Bingo, I would have saved myself $20k-$30k had a waited 4-5 months to buy an RS.

OP, look for a White, Silver, LO, or UV used RS near MSRP.

OP, good call on your part. You'll be in an RS before you know it. Great patience and continue to flog the 3.

of 120 for your car, and the RS CPO'd . That would be a nice Wrapped xmas

after reading your op last night I did a national CarGurus search something like 45 on the market the Greenwich P posting at sticker one black I bet a
teaser. But New Country in a straight up shop .

Merry Christmas my friend and in your case Happy Hunting !!!!
Deacon,
Merry Christmas to you.

I think the premium in and of itself is one thing, but the crime is the attempted ripping of your current trade, as that car is still some kind of car, and no need to launch it for any less than it's worth.

If you are really serious in the hunt, pm me, as I just sold both of my PTS cars and know where other ones are stashed for less than St. Louis was asking for their's. Ps, the lack of pccb, even if you are a heavy track-er, will hurt the re sale value in the future, look at CNC's experience w their PTS Black car. They own it for 310, and will lose on it. Their are other options. Another route would be to find a pccb car, and buy the steel Motorsport replacement rotors that mount into the pccb caliper. I'm happy to help, as I know too what it's like to go from a 3 to and RS. You should DEF do it, but as everyone else says, minimize your downside risk so you can truly enjoy it. Pm me anytime mate.

All the best, and happy holidays!

Just acquired new RS a week ago. My experience after heavy heavy research is steel brakes have zero point zero effect on value or desirability of car. Zero. Nada.

PCCB you can sell off for $10k, that's about it.
They sell for about the same car for car.

For me, this is strictly a question of your personal wealth status.

On the surface, to a 5%er like me this looks crazy.....I literally could not pay this difference for a modified car of the same vintage....since it takes me years to come up with even $100k of fun money.

But have seen guys do the same from 458 to Speciale so do this
and have a nice sleep on it.
