The "LIST"

I got this from a friend working at porsche
I trust him 100%
He has never lied to me and I don't see why he would have this time
Also I can tell you that there are well over 100 991.1 gt3 RS for sale right now in Germany
some for less than sticker
Third data point: my dealer sold way more RS than normal gt3 and he has still one more coming in December
He told me they made as many as they could sell this time
All in all I believe my friend and the other data points I see seem to support this
PS the US seem to have gotten 1500 so far but they are still pouring in
December was a huge month in terms of production
Where do they go?
Asia took way more than last time
Europe was huge
Middle East
Australia
South America
Canada

Well, I put a deposit down and have a contract right in front of me for a 991.2 GT3 RS subject to availability etc.
First and foremost, and as I understand it, the majority of RS sales go to customers with a history of Porsche ownership (in the main).
Second, the lists (with deposits paid) are used by Porsche to determine demand around the world for the GT3RS (and other models)
Thirdly, if you are on the list and you have paid a deposit, and you have a history of ownership - you have a far better chance of getting an allocation.
This was the information, I was given by my SA and the dealership Manager by phone this morning.

I really appreciate all the responses.
Im willing to wait since I have the GT3 & Rs AND another on the way down from Portland lol.
at the same time, if the next GT3 is a must have, ill trade in one of them for the latest and "greatest"
But the 991 has proven to be the best drivers car out there.

Sorry, but there are not RS's pouring into the U.S. right now and the U.S. is approximately 40% of Porsche's market last I heard. Still think 8000 is massively overstated, regardless of what your version of the cleaning lady said. Can anyone corroborate that with real data?
China is the largest market for Porsches, with a little over 25%.

Truth be told, "lists" are for amateurs.
If you have the money, just be willing to pay MSRP and you'll get your car.
Market Suggested Retail Price.
You think Lewis Hamilton or Mark Zuckerberg is on a list? Maybe the list for the next Pagani Huayra BC.

Has anyone ever bought a NEW GT3 under MSRP?!
