One possible regret is not doing steering column case in leather.

I watched it hover just outside Davisville and wondered if they missed their spot and had to wait for another ship to leave before a pier freed up (I'm guessing here - no way to know). This assumes the marinetraffic web site info was accurate.

Just like when we slow down for highway bumps or rough pavement, boats slow down for bigger waves/chop (and airplanes slow for turbulence). The ship was crawling along at very low speeds for a couple days. It was cool to watch it online.

I totally agree with your choices. Hubby wanted XM/Nav/Sport Chrono. He loves the clock. He wants the radio. I didn't want the "hump" but oh well.... I wouldn't have spec'd any of it - but this one is more about him than me, and I wasn't gonna argue. (My GT4 has none of that!).

Like you - it'll probably (likely) see some track time but not much. Just enough to get a taste.

We went with the lift. Hubby is a nut about scraped noses. It doesn't bother me nearly as much. To me....it goes with the turf and is a consumable. Not that I want to scrape it, but if it happens (as long as it's gentle enough not to damage anything other than a scrape on the chin spoiler) - not the end of the world.

I'm on the edge of my seat for you!!

Center console Porsche crest
Extended fuel tanks
Floor mats

I did not go with the following options. Reasoning for not choosing is listed. Obviously all is debatable but what I came up with! As I stated earlier passing time!

Data Logger: Without video I don't see the point. Already owning and tracking/racing a dedicated race car cannot imagine that I will track the RS that often. I would go with a system it would be an AIM Solo Dl and Smarty cam

Front lift: RS is to hard core for it. Hope this doesn't come back and bit me! LOL

Light weight battery: No thanks don't need any starting or dead battery issues.

Sirius: Don't like the hump on the magnificent magnesium roof!

Am I missing anything?

Like I stated just looking for some friendly chatting

Looks like this should be a good year to have one. No luck for me.

NO SLEEP LAST NIGHT FOR ME!

OK, so the vessel was at the post yesterday and today shows that it has left, therefore my "Barney" is sitting in a parking lot in Rhode Island! I wonder how long before a carrier comes and picks it up? I know that it needs to clear customs. I live in PA so good chance that RS might be under my Christmas tree!

Either its sitting at port or maybe it didn't pass customs and its on its way back on the ship.... lol. Just kidding Nick, don't get sick to your stomach over that comment. I can't wait to see it. I'll be there when that bad boy gets here.

Tick tock tick tock!

You're gonna need a mighty big tree!

I tried to find a web cam of the port so I could see the ship unload, or cars being jockeyed around - but never had any luck.

Nick, for me getting the car from the port to the dealer was singularly the most nail biting time. It required discovering unfamiliar karmic zones for survival!

Yoga, meditation, prayer, counseling, etc...may help. On the other hand, a straight jacket or alcohol, or both are probably your best bet.

Enjoy, I'm happy for you.

I won't get to see it in person until next week. The factory installed 997.1 scripts by accident. I normally am against prior gen decals, but did come from factory (accident or not) and it does match my 08 RS frog. I plan to leave them initially and make a decision before I install film.
