For those of you who don't also read the 991 board, it is interesting to note that the German 991 configurator now includes a Performance pack for the Carrera S.
Performance Carrera S. Note: Available from 06/2017 at the earliest
Performance increase to 331 kW (450 hp). Includes a larger exhaust gas turbocharger, modified brake cooling, sport exhaust system with 2 centered tailpipes in independent design, Sport Chrono package including dynamic engine mount, optimized engine control as well as a new engine room styling with titanium cover and carbon inlays
Obviously, this is just the precursor to the GTS and validates what I reported from my "cleaning lady" source back in March: 450hp, turbo, etc.
Personally, I am really looking forward to it as a replacement for my current 991.1 GTS. It will be a very, very quick car. Just as quick, if not quicker, than my 991.1 GT3.
Nevertheless, I will still be keeping a foot firmly in the NA world with my 991.1 GT3 and its replacement, a 991.2 GT3 which already has a July 2017 build slot.

As I have reported on other threads, my dealer has been allocated 4 build slots for the 991.2 GT3 in 2017. First slot is for a July build which is also the first month of production. I have been told to expect the car early August...as long as the summer holidays don't get in the way.

I am in Europe. The dealers were all told of their 2017 allocations two weeks ago. Mine got 4 slots. July, September, October and December. I have a great relationship with my dealer to the extent that he told me all the relevant detail back in March. Some of which I reported on this forum.
Last week, he contacted me to tell me about the allocations and to confirm if I wanted one of the very first deliveries or did I want to wait few months.

This is not BS. My contact is deep and solid. As early as March I was the first on this forum to report the first production month, the HP, that it would manual (but limited to 40% production), etc....and nothing so far has proved me wrong.
I trust this guy so much that I placed a deposit right then and am first on the list.

Yes, he told me months ago that GT2 RS production begins 2018, GT3 RS June 2018. These dates are place holders in the production schedule but should be locked soon. I will check for latest
Keep in mind that production line dates need to be locked down a long way in advance for planning and supply chain purposes.
