This thing is should work (add downforce without much added drag), no doubt about that. But is there a way to have a comparable additional downforce to the front? Don't mean to threadjack, just trying to decide if I want to get one too :-).

We offer dive planes for the 991 GT3 in either GT3 or Cup variants (skinny or wide) if you're looking to direct air over the wheel wells to limit the high pressure churn...

The thing to note here, that when you increase the angle of attack of the GT3 wing as it is now, most don't add anything to the front to "balance" the additional downforce. Most do notice that top speed is effected from the "parachute effect" of the added angle of attack. The Gurney allows the rear wing to have a longer chord, essentially giving it a bigger high pressure zone promoting more downforce on the wing, without having to increase the angle of attack, therefore minimizing the parachute effect.

Not trying to talk you out of dive planes, they're great and do help, but just wanting to help clarify that a gurney is useful even without adding downforce to the front.

Consider it a way to have your cake and eat it too, have a greater angle of attack without actually changing the angle of the wing...

Now if you want both more angle and the gurney, then get some dive planes and go RS hunting!
