hello,
after two years with my gt3, after 7000 km and a lot if fun i decided to sell. why? no real reasn, may be the fear after macca's posts, that i will face engine problems or may be becuase the car is to perfect. on normal german roads you do not need the power, and on the track you are fast, but a little clinical.
thus, in combination with still prices above purchase price i decided to look for a new toy. as i think a sports car has to be light, there was not a lot of choice, so i ended up buying a lotus exige 350 sport coupe.
i know its far away from being a perfect car, but with 1100 kg and 350 hp she has fantastic torque, perfect steering, sticks in the road and all together very pure.
gt3's will be a little faster, but i think i is as much fun....there is still a boxster gts in my garage and the new gt3 is already reserved for me.
the first track day will guve me the chance to learn more, but even now after 400 km drive in period she is al lot of fun.....
more later

Not a bad choice. Many are wanting to scratch that itch, but equally go back to the Porsche afterwards. As you say, they have some real qualities, but equally some down-sides that ultimately start to grate. I presume yours has the latest gearshift upgrade, which is very good. Also look into the issue with the engine belt snapping, which can subsequently break the fuel line and cause a fire.
The 430 or even 460 upgrades from Komo-tec in Mendig are supposed to be awesome and turn the car into a GT3 killer.
Am curious to hear how you like it on track.

If those were road legal in the US, more of us would be purchasing them for sure. I find the current exige to be dropdead gorgeous, and I assume even more fun to drive than my old Toyota sourced four-cylinder S220 exige.
As it stands, spending $90,000 on a track only vehicle is excessive for me, I wonder how many of these CUP exiges the US dealers are actually selling?

thanks for your positive comments, first 1000 miles behind me and next Friday, after oil change, I will be able to test 100 percent. Until now good fun, but some idiots out a nail in the outside of the tire. I was lucky, that I came home safely, but had to wait 1 week for new back tires.
overall I miss my gt3, but she is very exciting and more challenging. Quality has improved, But not perfect (what you know when you are crazy enough to buy a lotus)Sadly, I won't be able to test her on the track this year...
attached some more pics.

Congrats!! Spectacular car imo. I've had a Motorsports Exige (track only) and an Exige 240S. Love, love, loved them. Not as fast as my GT3 but a lot more fun imo.

Nice car!
I hope you will not regret it.
A gt3 can only replaced by another gt3!
