Exactly why I respect the times and results on the C&D test.
Considering the huge downforce due to the massive wings of the RS; the Grand Course is where the RS would shine more due to the course being more technical.
The back straight of the Full Course suits more slippery cars where top speed becomes more relevant.
No matter how much we argue the results, the fact remains that American manufacturers at a substantial lower price of entry is getting it done.
The GS that competed has a removal roof, creature comforts and most importantly a Manual trans versus the stripped out uber light RS which had no A/C, no axle weights, no radio etc and had DCT.
The drivers each had multiple tries in each car and the results embody the best times.
