I love my new RS, but to own the 911R also would be heaven. I really like the mint green color of the gauge's. I do wish it had the wide body of the RS. More pics would be nice, any color is fun too see!!

Hype at its best. It's just a car, not the Mona Lisa.

At least there's just one Mona Lisa and she has stood the test of time. She's not for sale either.
More than can be said for a GT3 without the wing, manual gearbox, and RS engine. Oh, the stickers and Pepita. A "real drivers" car. That's until the next offering comes out

They had a used UV RS(500 miles) on the floor which was quite a presence. I guess the Owner traded back when they realized too much of a car
Yes- I need a wingy. I was having the upgraded Plenum and 82mm TB installed in GT4

Hopefully some of the owners will get these out and drive them.

I like the 911R, I would have bought it as a daily driver if it was in the $100k range.
Like I wrote before I don't know how much the car will appreciate in the future if it's selling $400k over MSRP now...

That said, the $1M sticker is dumb, but there are plenty of people with more money than brains.

the 911R is another amazing GT 911 but it seems like it's raison d'etre wasn't an exercise in creating the fastest most lightweight 991 GT car to date but rather as a reward trophy to VIP 918 owners.
I also getting a little put off by some of the absolute hyperbole around this car. If the car was an actual recreation of the original 911R, Singer style, different story. But that's not this. It is essentially a 991 based GT3 or more specifically a GT3RS with an MT and bespoke areo treatment and some pretty nifty badges to evoke the rare iconic 67 911R.
Unfortunately the very essence of this car seems an anathema to the original. The original car was a no compromise stripped down 911 that was designed to provide the ultimate in performance. It was produced in limited quantities unlike this car because Porsche felt they could not find enough buyers for the car not because they wanted to create a collectable to be housed in the garages of a few well heeled car guys.
Don't get me wrong. I would always wish the best to anyone who gets the 911R end toast their good fortune. Hopefully, Porsche will reward their enthusiast following with an NA GT3 that is available in either MT or PDK and that car will carry on the true spirit of what these cars are all about. Remarkable precision tools to be enjoyed on the track or down a windy mountain road by as many happy enthusiast that can pony up the MSRP to buy one.
