GMG Racing: Mexico Blue Porsche 991 GT3RS In For Exhaust
GMG Racing: Mexico Blue Porsche 991 GT3RS with GMG Headers and Center Section
We had this beautiful PTS Mexico Blue Porsche GT3RS in our facility this week to receive a few GMG components. The beautiful color with the contrasting yellow stitching on the interior make this particular GT3RS a truly bewitching car.
GMG HEADERS & CENTER SECTION
Our headers and center section combine to add 17-24whp. You get the added power and exotic noise while still retaining the stock side mufflers (and function of the exhaust valves). Deleting the stock side mufflers will hurt the cars mid-range power band and you lose the ability to control the exhaust volume. Even though each header is meticulously TIG welded and fabricated right here in Southern California, you can find them around the world.
We believe running without catalytic converters on the street is generally not a good idea (smell, legal issues). This is why our headers utilize high-quality German-made 200cell high-flow catalytic converters.
Benefits of the GMG Header and Center Section Combination:
-Power gains of 18-24whp
-No loss of midrange torque
-Retention of the exhaust valve (and full function of the sport button)
-German-made 200 cell catalytic converters
ALIGNMENT
As with GT4’s, we have seen GT3RS cars come with varying alignments off the show room floor. For this car we dialed it in to our GMG Street Performance Spec using our in house digital alignment machine.
In a memorable twist we pulled our GT3R into the shop, fresh from Road America. As most here know the GT3R was homologated from the GT3RS. Our ability to pull data from the GT3R and apply it to the GT3RS gives us a unique advantage when developing ways to optimize the chassis.
