Okay...Phil...I get that you are upset with your dealer. But you have put a lot of time and love into your GT3. I would not give up on your car or the brand. The RS is going to come down in price. This is just the beginning. Be patient. JMHO of course!

Isn't forcing you to buy one thing to get another called tying and is illegal in some circumstances?

I looked it up to be sure: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tying_(commerce)

I don't think you should abandon P-cars though.

PoC are comparable to a west coast dealer, keep the 3 and build your relationship with a new dealer.

I don't want to wait. Life is short.

I truly LIKE my sales rep as a friend. Which makes it even worse. I don't want to go down this path. Thanks though.

Appreciate it Jeff. But if I can't buy what I want from a brand, I don't think my personality is a good fit for that brand.

I'm not patient and I don't want to be patient. Thanks Rob. Appreciate the kind words, but life is short. I want it now!

What brand do you have in mind?

I'm going to look at:

Z06/7
458 used
Huracan used
Viper ACR extreme
GT350R
430/458 Challenge
997/991 Cup

It's a long and widespread list right now since I just decided on this path. I want something more track-focused than my base GT3. I would prefer an RS for many reasons, but that doesn't seem likely.

Just remember this, Phil. The sweet just isn't as sweet without the bitter. And this appears to be the bitter part!

So you are going to let one dealer's GM turn you off on a mark you have loved and a car you were so enthusiastic about on one call because you can't get a car you want on your terms? Why are you different than anyone else?

You think other high end performance marks are different?

I've spent over twice what you have at my dealer and I'm still waiting for an allocation.

The current RS market is dominated by demand. RS are available but at a mark up and deals can be found if you look.

I think you are reacting emotionally and that's when mistakes are made.

Unless there is a car you rather have acting rashly will be a mistake.

Since you have a trailer, I'll put in my plug for a spec boxster. It's really teaching me how to drive, much more so than the GT3 ever did.

The sad part is that more and more dealers are trying to pull the same kind of stuff. Almost defeats the purpose of building a relationship.

Phil, I can chime in regarding the Z06. Here's my review...

Scariest 7 minutes of my life.

The end.

Phil, if you want to win the DE cup then the ACR is your car.
