When VW sells Porsche to Chery to pay the dieselgate bills it could happen. Chery will only build RS's and R's (10000's) but will reduce costs by using AFRP (aluminium foil reinforced plastic) and the expensive pdk will be replaced with a CVT. I think the best we can hope for is that they sell to Tata instead.

Yes it will. Once the use of fossil fuels has been outlawed and people are carted around in electric, self-driving pods. Until then, use it as intended.
