Default Pit Speed Activation Video

Since I have seen a couple of people ask on here how to activate the Pit Speed Limiter I thought I would give a shoot a quick tutorial video on how to activate it.

One thing I did leave out in the video since I wasn't driving the car is the Pit Speed Limiter can only be activated in 1st, 2nd or 3rd gear.

I haven't seen a good video of it in use, can you use it as rolling launch control? Had that on my GTR it was fun.

I don't know and even if you could I don't think it would be the same as on the GTR since the RS does not have turbos that require spooling to launch. Also when rolling with the Pit Speed limiter on in the RS if you go past a certain throttle position it will deactivate and allow you to accelerate past the set speed.

Such a useless feature in my opinion.

Totally agree, I've said it from day one. Who actually uses it frequently?

Yes agree with you while driving it on the street.

On the track I disagree. From my perspective in a track environment I like to practice what I do in the Racecar. So when entering pit lane I want to do my best to mimic coming in at speed within a safe margin. The pit speed limiter allows me to set the speed down pit lane similar to what we do in IMSA. That way I get accustomed to seeing the pit lane boxes go by at a similar rate. Plus it does make some cool sounds like the race cars while on the limiter.

Considering I had a drive through penalty for pit lane speed at Road America last week...perhaps it's not terrible.

Although they penalized me by accident...it was another car! ugggggggggg

Any way, I set the limit today at 35 mph.
Check.
It stays on in the gauge cluster showing the limit which is a little annoying.
I came to a stop...pressed the button...wouldn't turn on.
Unreal.

Sorry about that. I wonder if you have to be moving to make it function? I will check it out with my car today and get back you.
