Default plugs & coils change made a huge difference

I just had the plugs/coils/reprogramming procedure performed under the Porsche warranty and my 2015 GT3 now drives much, much more smoothly. It is significantly different...better than when I bought the car. My question for the all-knowing members is whether any type of damage could have occurred while driving with the old plugs/coils/programming? The car definitely idled and ran rougher before the change out. I put a lot of street miles on my GT3 and plan to keep the car for some time. Perhaps this entire engine failure, cylinder misfire, issue is making me paranoid.

Thanks,

Marc

Did you get the PDK software update? If so, I felt a significant difference in the PDK-S suto gear shifting points. The power felt the same.

I called the dealer today and they said that the PDK upgrade is slotted for particular GT3 VINs and mine was not in the list. Hmmmm...

Did the dealer charge you for the plugs and coils?

Can you provide a picture of the paperwork? I am not aware of having them replaced under warranty. My early delivered (Nov 14) has not been in any of the service bulletins yet.

Hmm, I haven't heard of this from any of the dealers I've taken the car to. Guess I lucked out.

The replacement of the plugs and coils, as well as the reprogramming of the DME was performed under warranty at no charge.

And yes, as stated in Item C, I did drive the GT3 from Houston to St Louis and back to watch a Blues game! Doesn't look like I will be doing that again after last night!

Maybe it falls under a TSB? I have a 2016 and PDK is smooth, impressive. First time I tried PDK was on a '15 Turbo S and I was blown away.

My 2016 car got new plugs and coils from the service bulletin, also on the house. They updated the software as well but related to oil pressure, not PDK IIRC.
