Is the GT3 for me?

Don't do it...
Is this car good as a DD? No
How harsh is it in city driving? Vs. an M4, very harsh (I've had both) and the Gt3 tranny is very unhappy in stop and go
Has anyone driven an M4 that can make a comparison? I had an M4 and it was a much much much better daily driver
Is this a good choice for my situation? No
If you could go back would you still have bought your GT3? Any regrets? It's an insanely fun car, but not for a DD
991S, GTS, Macan Turbo are all great choices.
You will love the GT3 at first and get really tired of it. You will feel like you are wasting it driving it every day. I did it as a DD for almost a year and then bought an M4 to be a better DD. If you are not enjoying the M4 as a DD, then the GT3 is NOT for you as an only car.
After I sold my first GT3, I missed it terribly, so I bought another one (but not as an everyday car). And since the second GT3 was my track car, I sold the M4 for a Macan Turbo which is honestly one of the greatest vehicles ever made. The perfect mix, IMO is Macan Turbo and GT3.

I've driven them all (and owned most of them too lol)
The GT3 is stiffer than the M4.
The GT3 is more fun to drive and tighter than the M4. The M4 sways and feels like a boat compared to the GT3.
The GT3 sounds way better than the M4 (NA vs Turbo engine)
The GT3 is 2 seats rather than 4 if that's important to you.
PDK-S is much better than the DCT.
I'd say the M4 is a better daily driver by far. However, it's probably boring and the current 991 GT3 is the most daily driver oriented GT3 that Porsche has made. The visibility out the rear of the GT3 is poor.
I would personally choose the GT3 over the M4 overall but if you are just looking for a daily driver and that's it, the M4 is a better more comfortable choice. Every one has their opinion. Just drive one and you'll see.

An M4 is too stiff for you and you're wondering if you should buy a GT3?
To improve your daily driving comfort?

While I love my GT3 with a passion, I wouldn't love it as much if I had to drive it daily. The suspension is very tough, and it's ungodly low to the ground. I would recommend getting a 911 turbo as a daily driver.
I will also say that I've driven my GT3 in heavy traffic and on bumpy roads, and it's fine. I put it in the fully automatic mode and relax. It's just not as comfortable as my other cars.
I might ultimately base your decision on the commute you have. If the roads are smooth and traffic is light, I think you'll be happy everyday.

I think the best idea is to test drive a GT3 and a regular 911. See which you prefer.
I would skip the Macan based on owning two - it's a nice car, but no way I would want it in a single car garage. Just too dull to drive.

I find it makes me laugh out loud, mainly because as an SUV, it has no business doing some of the things it does.

GT3/M4
No way I would DD a GT3 .........M4 is much softer than the GT3

LOL, I'm a good bit older than OP, and have both a 991 GT3 and C63. Am I an adult?
The 991 GT3 is a fantastic car and can work as a daily driver. Suspension isn't that harsh. But I wouldn't get one for road-only use unless you have frequent access to really good driving roads where the GT3 can stretch its legs. Proper home for the 991 GT3 is the track, where it really shines.
For the road, C63 is a great choice if you like driving and also need some practicality.
