Those who are running 19x9.5 (ET50-52) with 265/35/19, are caster pucks required? What alignment is needed to clear?

Has anyone tried the OZ's in 19" ? Have 2 sets of OZ in 18" that were on the 997.2 GT3 RS but I presume they will not fit on the new 991.2 GT3. By far the least expensive and the only rim that I've never cracked. I've had CCW (cracked those and lost all color after a while although CCW was great in replacing the cracked rims, no questions asked) Forgeline lost color and turned purple. BBS (cracked the center on the ones that had magnesium centers, bent the wheel halves multiple times on the ones that had aluminum centers. Although BBS rims had fixable parts, by the time I paid for new inner or outer barrel, new seals, new screws and labor, I could've just replaced the entire wheel if it was a OZ. Sebring is brutal on rims

Hey everyone,

I've been searching for the right sizes for 19" wheels on a 991.2 GT3 and am not finding a definitive answer.

There's talk of some wheels having such a tight clearance that stuff will get stuck between the wheel and caliper and mar them up (though it's said to be no big deal).
There's other talk of them not clearing something in the rear suspension with the rear wheel steering.

Is there a 19" wheel suitable for track use on steel brakes that just works without issues?

I run 19 inch forgelines on my 991.2 GT3. Also ran the same set of wheels on my 991 GT3. The clear just fine. I had steels on my 991 and now run pccbs on my 991.2.

You only need a rear Lower control arm bolt (or reverse the oem bolt or shave the head) to allow clearance of the 19 inch barrel in the rear. It’s a $5 bolt and easy to swap out. You will easily see which one it is if you look at your rear wheel.

call brian at competition Motorsports and he will tell you exactly what you need for Gt3. He has shipped me to two sets of 19 inch forgelines and they have fit perfectly.

My front 20” rims have scratches from rocks so it can happen to stock as well.

Thanks for the info, guys!

Note that I'm in Toronto so shipping from American shops may be prohibitive.

Is that lower control arm bolt an issue for ANY 19's or just some of them?

Even some 20" (including OE wheels we've seen), so if you're doing 19"s, just make it mandatory that you buy that panhead bolt.

I have 4 sets of HRE's for 2 GT3's one car with ceramics and one with steel, no compromising quality, fit or finish. I use Hoosier 265 & 325 no problems and not using caster pucks but that is the way to go I think.

Hi, could you post a picture or diagram indicating the bolt that needs to be shaved or change. I am awaiting for a set of GE1R and don't want to "screw" the wrong bolt.
Thanks
