When you consider how large the 991 chassis is and the fact that it's US-legal, there wasn't much more they could have done within reason.

That is to me what is disappointing, they could have developed something new (more CF panels, maybe even part of the tub CF?) but instead their entire weight savings was options available on all other 991s + a 6MT + removing 6 kg of sound deadening. Another 4 years of the same problems on the 991.2 isn't that exciting to me...

Every interview I've seen lately with A.P. he reinforces the RS as a track car, where fastest/quickest is best, i.e. PDK trans.
For public street use, and even more isolated roads where you can start to use a GT3, nothing like MT.

The poll is representative to how opinions shifted in favor of a manual GT3. This after the same poll was in favor of pdk if given the choice. It doesn't even matter whether there will be a manual GT3,the poll results should be independent of that IMO...
The conclusion is simple and it relates to the well known fact that the GT3 is mostly used on the street. On the track pdk is involving enough for most drivers because everything is happening so fast anyway... Even though I personally prefer a manual on the track as well, but I'm very slow and do parade laps,so I prefer shifting. On the street, one would be lying if they said a pdk is more enjoyable, simple as that...IMO...

Total BS. Tooling around town, sure, the manual is more fun to row the gears. But in the mountains where the road turns twisty, the PDK is way more fun. I recently picked up a Spyder and I'm really enjoying rowing the gears again, but the when it gets sporty in the mountains, I really miss the PDK. It's so much more fun, racy and better performing than the manual. Do they not have curvy roads where you live?
