V12 Manual Aston 565HP
#16
I've owned a manual V12 Aston. It's nothing more than a very beautiful (looks and sound) muscle car. Driving dynamics and performance left a lot to be desired. It remains to be seen if Aston can evolve as a manufacturer. As with any of these cars, must drive before just assuming they are any good.

Even with only 100 of these 'limited edition' Astons coming to the US, I believe they will be a tough sell, cool though a V12 with dogleg manual may be...

1,000 would be far too many. Only ~40 Gallardos were sold in the US with manual and RWD over the 6 models years that combo could be ordered, 28 of those also being 'limited editions' (3 Balbonis, and 25 50th Anniversary cars). Was hoping to replace it with a 911R, but since it doesn't look like that will be happening, I will hold on to it...though unfortunately I am rarely in town to drive it!
You may be right, but the Lambo community doesn't embrace manuals like Ferrari and Porsche. I wouldn't be surprised to see Ferrari bring it back, as Porsche seems to be with the next GT3...

In contrast, Lamborghini builds less than 3,000 cars per year. Unless Audi brings a manual back to the R8, I doubt they will develop it for the Huracan.

I think that Lamborghini could capitalize on the current thirst for manuals, and enjoy some conquests of more customers like ... you. I'm not a Lambo guy at all; I've always thought of them as Karaoke Ferraris for gauche, nouveau riche, tasteless people who didn't know any better. However. I'd be very interested in a lightweight, raw, RWD only Huracan. The fact that neither Ferrari nor McLaren have a current limited edition/special model available at the moment would help out also.

Haven't owned a v12 vantage manual, but drove one extensively. My impressions were different than some here, I thought it was absolutely awesome. The sound, the linear acceleration, the sound . It's not a track car. I love that a company still makes a v12 stick shift. I say awesome.
