^ an instructor from Porsche a Driving School, told me Porsche produced 6000 991.1 GT3 RS. I didn't believe him. Then I read it somewhere else online.

Not sure how accurate this figure may be. But yeah, they sure produced more RS than GT3s in this 991 generation.

I've seen the same figure on a German forum, quoted from a local dealer. It sounds absurd and, given how hard they made it look to get one, it reeks of market manipulation. As long as they are traded above MRSP nobody has a right to complain. But once the bottom drops out of the market there will be many disgruntled customers.

Thinking of all the GT4s and Porsche not mentioning making more (just yet), would say at this time the GT3 would be an easier catch for the following year. Or even this year... when was production suppose to start back up or have they already started?

Martin not the type to get on the list and get one at MSRP. That would be too easy.

Probably a misunderstanding. 6000 total 991.1gt3/RS would be about right.

GT4s are done-top level info.. But not too difficult to find one if you pay attention on the GT4 forum. It appears there are quite a few that ordered and when it comes to pay they are walking for what ever reason but probably a financial one

Andreas Preuninger
can be blamed but has been very clear
P don't have capabilities to provide
nor their strategy to present
overlapping GT either turbo not turbo

being GT2 RS already spotted that means
GT2 is more than ready
meaning 2017 2018 production capabilities with
GT2, GT2RS, GTS ,718-GT4?gone

I can't think any .2 GT3 production before 2019
and this sounds too close to 992 and none sense .2 GT3RS

997 RS 4.0 was for RSR and GT2RS to beat Nissan on the Ring
what s the point of GT3.2 RS being next RSR 2018 Turbo?

sure they will extend as long as possible .1RS and GT4
but time is running fast

anyway September 2016 Paris autoshow will tell

I definitely think the GT2/RS will be out soon as a 2017 model. GT3 will be late 2017 as a 2018 model followed by the RS

GT4 will be a late 2018 delivery as a 2019 model. Will be 3.8 Liter NA. The GT3 moving to 4.0

I think you got it mixed up or your instructor is hopefully a better driving instructor than he is at reporting facts.

My sources told me that there were about 1200 991RS's built world wide with about 600 in U.S.

There were definitely far more standard GT3's produced than RS's. That's an absolute.

As far as the bottom of the GT3RS market dropping out, if that happens that means all other Porsche GT cars are in the same free fall across all generations.

I for one don't care. I didn't buy my RS to resell or speculate. I bought it because I love it and it gets my blood coursing.

Might be but look .1 GT4 ,
991.1 GT3 and 991.1 GT3 RS
have made Porsche GT production very busy for
2013, 2014, 2015, 2016

difficult and not the case according to Preuninger
to condensate all that 991.2 GT stuff in even less time and with more models

personally I doubt they also will send
a message to all 718 Cayman turbo buyers
hey to go fast get a .2 GT4 718 Cayman naturally aspirated

To get maximum equity from the GT2/RS name Porsche will have to get moving fast and hard and get them to Market to satisfy the Porsche-Philes.

With the 997.1 Porsche released the GT2 in 2007 and the 997.2 the GT2RS was introduced in 2010.

Knowing with how Porsche has been behaving lately, they will release the plain GT2 with the GT2RS. Just wonder if the cars will be limited editions or not?
