Fraid there's nothing replacement about these, they're stick on veneers onto the OEM part:

Techart calls it "Sichtcarbon" on their German site, which is essentially Carbon fibre matts over factory parts.

This is not correct. I have the full Techart kit on my RS and the front carbon slat pieces are shipped from Techart with a special 3M adhesive epoxy that you use to stick the carbon pieces on top of the standard plastic vent slats. Regardless they look fantastic and much better than the vinyl carbon.

That does look good!

What other bits do you have on the car and do you have any more pics? Did you fit the fender vent pieces yourself and what is involved?

They look great but the cost does not justify it, even for RS owners.....
what if you lose one piece ?

We stand corrected, The information we received was incorrect. These stick on to the factory fender slat's.

I just use poor man carbon fiber (3M 1080 vinyl) on my RS. Not as good as the real one but good enough for me

Thanks
I just removed the plastic grid under the vents during the install. No need to remove the front wheel either, just jack the car to give access from the top and bottom of the vents

No. Sichtcarbon refeer to the Quality of the Carbon finish.

Some Carbon parts are not visible and the finish and / or material used is different to the visible Items like in this Case Techart parts.

Sicht = View or appeareance of the item.

TechArt has always made very nice decorative as well as functional parts. In the case of these vent add-ons, will the debris coming out of the vents ruin the nice carbon look.
