At full throttle all bets are off. A turbo car will always uses more fuel than a comparable output NA simply because ECU dumps more fuel than necessary into the cylinders to cool the highly compressed charge.

1000 cars seems a bit low, that's not much more than the 911R's numbers and we have seen that mess. Maybe 1500?

Right but 30% of 911 R guys are just resellers.

I have been offered ~50 cars all at stupid prices.

2 blk
15 silver
30-40 white
1 yellow
1 baby poo color

The last guy was in AZ and offered me a white/red car with " nose lift and good options" for "under 600k"

Fwiw I replied "under 400k and it would be a maybe".

Any recent speculations, regarding the power and tech?

I would think 650-670 hp, but its more torque that the 91RS chassis needs imv, even more so in the low speed corners....

Would be nice have a bit more aero DF on the front end also.

Easier to add aero, add brakes, add interior farkles, and as we have seen "add rarity"

Harder to add MPG, Revs, reliability, "magic and feel"

That is for any car this is not an exclusive statement.

I know all this is speculation, but to the more informed lot among us, what's the order of the future announcements from the GT division?

1. 991.2 GT3
2. 991.2 GT2 RS
3. 982 GT4
4. 991.2 GT3 RS
5. 991.2 GT3 RS unicorn (highly speculative)

?

Not surprised at all, I knew the R would be a flipping exercise car. The question in my mind is if there is more flipping going on in the US/Canada for the R or in Europe. I'd venture to bet that the US is the capital of flippers by a wide margin.

Anyone in Europe know how many Rs are trying to be flipped?

Ahhh yes, that little plague with a number to add that "rarity" element to it. :to_order:

I don't think this would happen, but I would love to see Porsche only build like 1,000-1,500 GT2RS cause the same BS games as the R pissing off even more folks. Kinda like checking out a car wreck on the side of the road with popcorn in hand. But I think Porsche will be the profit making company that it is and build as just many as there are needed to meet demand like with the RS.

I agree with everything except one thing- this car will be so fast that it might have issues. The entire VW group is under intense scrutiny right now and what they are going to launch could/will be the highest HP road engine ever from Porsche.

Going to be fun, especially knowing how easily the 3 RS spins the rears. User discretion advised.
