Question 911R options....

can anyone give me an example of differences between the dual mass flywheel and the single mass flywheel with reinforced clutch?

my last manual P car was 870hp 997.1 turbo which EVOms put a Sach's clutch in and it was horrible because they neglected to remove the "clutch assist" which comes factory on turbo's and engagement point was so miniscule it was tedious to start in 1st.. especially stop and go.

no tracking will be done, curious what the differences will be on clutch..

also curious why it has the 991.1 tails versus the 991.2 tails

lastly.. anyone see the Carbon fiber floor mats! 740$... i wonder if those will be purchasable thru porsche parts... would be sick addition to a lot of 991's.

I was thinking the same thing about the clutch compared to when you go over 600+ HP in the Turbo with switching out the clutch. I was wondering if it would be similar to a 996 GT3.. idk - Although a few on here have driven it I think so they could answer.

Yes, I saw a picture of the mats. Look cool. Pretty pricey though-

Carbon mats are not available with fire extinguisher as an FYI

Regular floor mats or "leather edges" on them are about 600 bucks anyway. 740 is a decent price as these are cool if you are into it.

I got yellow edged mats on my GT4 to match belts and stitching inside. Looks so much better all together.

Drive a 997 GT3RS. That has the lightweight flywheel. Then drive the 2007 GT3. Dual mass.

My '11 RS was single mass, noisy which was cool, very high clutch effort and clutch is more difficult to modulate than a dual mass clutch. I drove only manual cars for 25 years and though at times the RS clutch was a PITA. It did sound cool. YMMV.
