Sigh. A man can dream.

edit: and a single mass flywheel.
Get a 991.1 base in manual. No PASM, nothing. It's not bad after putting in GT3 sway bars and coilovers. Feels good after a few monoball joints also. The power thing is missing slightly but I'm OK with that. I've had many track kilometers in very powerful cars. Don't need the stress anymore.

Looking forward to it. Won't need 500 hp, but I'll take it.

What happens in the RS, then? A higher powered 4.0 that could potentially lead to reliability issues?

homologation
do they need rather the next RSR Turbo then a RS Turbo
1 year before

anyway before a whichever street RS we know there s a street GT

Next street GT Frankfurt 2016
Next street RS Geneva 2017

Call me silly, call me crazy but Porsche might not release a GT2 variant in any guise.

I'm figuring on reliability issues. What do they do first, up displacement or larger turbos or both? We have to think of it by looking outside in. Chief competitor's and Porsche will need around 650 to 680 BHP or more! And then there is the question of which transmissions to use and so forth. Porsche have been very busy to say the least in developing the new 911R and 718 boxster replacement. And when are we going to see the reskinned Cayman, the 718's non Cabriolet hardtop? Maybe at Los Angeles this year since that is the second place most common for Porsche Launches for the past couple of years?

I would like to see a GT2 hitting the launch pad but something deep in my heart says we might not see one at all unfortunately.

I guess any small volume limited edition is out of the question for the next 6-7 years. (918 VIP)

And that's a good thing. We need to get these great cars back on track.

I'll start focusing on the gt2rs. The "cup edition" is not very likely after the launch of the R. I had high hopes for a combined lightweight attempt for the R and cup to offset the cost between the two.

Ok you asked for it....you are silly and crazy. GT2 WILL be released. HP will fall into the proper range. Last year they started playing with possible engine and drivetrain setups. Buckle up for safety, those of us that get a GT2 will need it.

MOOTY - well said.
PAM everywhere. PAM now passe.
businesses looking to expand always alienate their original, loyal clientele.
better in the long-run, to stay small/mid imo.

Just borrow the engine from Audi's RS7. It's compact at around half a meter and with a simple tune can pump out over 700 hp and torque.

Kidding, of course
