You know what I would really like to see?
A 991.2 GTS with a derivative of the old 3.8 made to rev and making 450hp, attached to a manual transmission. I am not sold yet on rear wheel steering, but throw that in there, a real light weight car, no PASM, no rear seats, no frippery, no fake manufactured pops on over run, I just want an honest car, and make as many as they can sell.
Sigh. A man can dream.
edit: and a single mass flywheel.

Get a 991.1 base in manual. No PASM, nothing. It's not bad after putting in GT3 sway bars and coilovers. Feels good after a few monoball joints also. The power thing is missing slightly but I'm OK with that. I've had many track kilometers in very powerful cars. Don't need the stress anymore.

Call me silly, call me crazy but Porsche might not release a GT2 variant in any guise.
I'm figuring on reliability issues. What do they do first, up displacement or larger turbos or both? We have to think of it by looking outside in. Chief competitor's and Porsche will need around 650 to 680 BHP or more! And then there is the question of which transmissions to use and so forth. Porsche have been very busy to say the least in developing the new 911R and 718 boxster replacement. And when are we going to see the reskinned Cayman, the 718's non Cabriolet hardtop? Maybe at Los Angeles this year since that is the second place most common for Porsche Launches for the past couple of years?
I would like to see a GT2 hitting the launch pad but something deep in my heart says we might not see one at all unfortunately.

And that's a good thing. We need to get these great cars back on track.
I'll start focusing on the gt2rs. The "cup edition" is not very likely after the launch of the R. I had high hopes for a combined lightweight attempt for the R and cup to offset the cost between the two.

MOOTY - well said.
PAM everywhere. PAM now passe.
businesses looking to expand always alienate their original, loyal clientele.
better in the long-run, to stay small/mid imo.
