To register just go to Porsche web site and look under driving experiences. Select PEC. You can call for information not on their drop down menu. I spoke to a instructor who could help me book a gt3/gt4 45 min each session. 90 min total. Alternatively I could arrange a 90 min gt4 experience which I did for end of April.
Got a gift certificate from my SA worth 500 and includes lunch at 356. You can then arrange what date and time works for both you and them
Had a choice of 18 ways with steel brakes or LWB and ceramics. Went with the LWB as that is what I am getting in Seattle in June. Already have >10 track days in the gt3 so chose the GT4 only experience. Paid about 200 additional.
Signed wife up for Boxster S session same time 11am to guarantee a manual tranny for her. 1 pm lunch at 356 afterwards.
Los Angeles PEC probably will be open late this year.

The actual museum displays are for a set period of time. Although i dont know how long, I'd imagine a couple months or so. Then they switch it out to something else. Before the current RS lineup, they had other models from the Ingram collection.

Nice summary of the PEC. I visited last May as s part of the GT3 thank you event. Pretty cool place, especially for those drivers who have never been on a track before as well as those looking to improve their car control skills. I really like the "training" areas like the low friction circuit, the wet skid pad and the kick plate. It's a great environment to safely learn car control.
It's perfect for acquiring those techniques.
They emphasize its an "experience center" not a track, so it accomplishes that goal well.
I was really hoping the LA PEC was going to be more of a "track", as SoCal could always use a local facility.

Thanks for sharing. I booked a GT3 there on April 1st as I'm deciding if I want to ultimately buy a GT3. I have a 997.2 4S cab and I'm pretty sure the GT is the next car. I've been scouring this site for info and love the access to so many experiences. Glad to hear the experience is money well spent.

I would recommend calling over booking online, I called in and they were extremely helpful and they can answer all of your questions you may have, also had a porsche world roadshow discount of 10% and the person I spoke to applied it to all four of us instead of just mine! Overall wonderful place and highly recommended and the people there are very nice and informative, I would say the driver I was with was one of the reasons I ended up with my allocation for the gt3 as he told me not to give up on it just yet!
