You know Sebring, and of course on video it looks like nothing much... See 0:10-0:15 and 2:00-2:10

Mostly T17, I haven’t figured out how to get the car pointed more in the right direction and limit the length travelled.

And T16.

Im not very good at either of those corners and I found myself trying different stuff. You’d think I know after 1000 laps.

have another 3 days to figure it out this weekend :-)

Less throttle before the bridge so you can commit to full throttle at the bridge or just past it. In the one lap of the video above you are at 65% before the bridge which is enough throttle to make the car want to accelerate but you are not done trying to get the car to turn. Use less throttle before the bridge, get the car turned and then commit to full throttle after. This will also allow the car to turn a little bit more right at the middle of the corner when the lateral Gs are at their peak since the rear tires won't be trying to push the car through the corner as much.

Thanks Seth, I didn’t ask for the free coaching, but I will gladly take it!

Absolutely will try that. I might even keep it flat over all the bumps, if I’m pointed better.

I’m pretty much overdriving the car into corners, yet not good enough to get the car slowed down precisely enough to still have the weight on the front. Lack of talent.
I have the feeling if I back it up a bit and be less greedy with Vmin, it may work in T17.

But T1 I think I’m opposite, some pro’s lose speed all the way past the Apex and I’m trying to go for early throttle from a much lower V min.

But I drove two cars back to back on the same Dunlops, one would take the early throttle there and mine didn’t.

Anyway the goal is to have the perfect .2RS setup (For me) for Sebring after this weekend.

I will report in :-)

Setup works OK, don’t have exact numbers yet.
Incredibly, I ran another exact 2:1382, threw it all away by losing .5 sec in T16, so seems a 2:133 was doable and I’m pretty sure the tires lost a second.

Anyway, still no 2:12.

I don’t understand that I have several identical laptimes, weird.
The odds..

But with corded tires, it means we found quite a bit of time in setup.
Its a bit harder to drive, but I think with new tires, I’d will be good.

TBD...

Sebring setup .2 GT3RS.

Basically as low as I could go and still have good stopping power and suspension travel.
The rear is a compromise to deal with the rear springs that are just a bit too stiff.

Still some high speed understeer and still a bit hard to drive by keeping the rear under the car in the usual difficult places at Sebring.

Front ride height: 103 (95mm being as low as the car can go).
Rear ride height: 252

Front sway bar middle
Rear sway bar full soft

Dunlops Sport Maxx 2 hot PSI can be as low as 30 and as high as 38.
Started out at 22/24PSI

Competing with the Corona Virus bump.

What do you run for setup?
Anyone running similar to me?

I am, but not to drop the front. Also didn't go to -3 anything so glad you covered that ground. I'm also still trying to figure out what my fancy bars equate to - two holes v three. Doh!

Would the settings above do well on my .1 RS at Sebring?

I don’t have near that camber! That and talent must be why I am 3 seconds slower! 😁

No, all different if you have a .1RS, on 19" with slicks or OEM, these numbers do not apply.

The onslaught of RS that are getting faster with each weekend is what keeps me on my toes hahaha....
You weren't in the Pink group, I take it? Don't remember seeing you, but maybe we were circling on opposites side of the track :-)
Its faster with less camber but I'm trying to get 4 days out of the rears, it seems to be possible with flipping wheels side to side after each or at least 2 days.

I was out in Pink Friday and Saturday but started at the back following Craig in his Cup to get videos of him, helping with his braking points. I got very few clear laps in two days. But that wasn’t the point of the weekend. My set up came from the Lightning Laps for Randy Pobst and seems well balanced but my best is a 2:16.3 so I am not up to the best the car can do. My best this past weekend was only 2:17.3.

One thing to keep in mind with the setup numbers from Pobst. Porsche wanted to set the times for the car with settings that are within spec or recommended by Porsche. They optimized these settings for the track in the two days of testing and then laid the laps down. They might not be 100% optimal for a fast car but they are good guidelines. I believe your statement backs this up as the car feels good and is pretty fast.
