I'm actually going to drive mine in the snow, that surely wont help its value.

Be honest Martin, youre really not in the market for a car, youre just bitter that you didn't get one at msrp.

In other news, I see theres a new prius rs coming out, they better think twice before they mark that **** up in cali...if they know whats good for them

^^^The bigger question is how far will they drop or better yet, how close to msrp will they be?

I am in the market and I am willing to pay over MSRP to get one. Like I said, if the right one comes along at a reasonable market up I'll send the wire. I paid $10k over for a GT4 so why wouldn't I pay over for an RS?

If you don't mind me asking what is your ideal above MSRP pricing (obviously contingent to having the proper spec)

Around $50k over (the right color/s and specs will increase that amount). That's why I said if that Lava RS that was offered for $50k was not Lava I might have bought it (car did have a few too many options for my liking though).

Yeah, I'm sure of that...time is on my side and the market is only bleeding lower. I'm not a collector/bubble wrapper and I'm a working stiff with 2 jobs so I won't pay $300k+ for an RS. I didn't understand how the game worked with dealers and so I'm willing to pay a reasonable late penalty to get a car that I want (did it for a GT4 and am willing to do it for an RS). Getting an RS at MSRP would be nice, but it's not realistic at this point...the car was underpriced by Porsche coupled with the 918 vip program.

There are dealers who will sell at MSRP, regardless of past relationship, talking non RS. On top of that the new GT3RS isn't worth the value of the 997.2 GT3RS4.0. Gouging Premiums of Six Figures for an RS is just Greed. I can understand charging a premium for a car in short supply and high demand. But some Dealers do not have any Couth or Shame!

Completely agree! I had no past relationship with my dealer (or any porsche dealer for that matter) and they still sold me my 16 GT3 for MSRP! So definitely depends on the dealer

Just need to compile a list of MSRP dealers vs Gouging dealers. Though I'm almost certain your dealership would want some type of premium on an RS. I just want Porsche to go Ape**** Nuts and build the hell out of the RS model for the second go around like they did with the 997.2 GT3RS on top of the Neet

All you have is time and one can wait it out and see how it goes. And if one is unsure of the dealer and depositing $5K which may not get one in the cue when Hendge Fund Managers have too much money and they don't know what to do with except pay an extra $100K or more on top of that Neato Porsche.

I got a 2016 GT3 at 25k above sticker...but stroke a "deal" (whatever, don't laugh):
I leased a Cayenne Diesel as my commuter and hauler and bought a GT4 at 25K above and was given an allocation at 25 k above for a 2016 GT3.
When I got the GT3, I asked the Porsche dealership Manager to get my next Porsche GT at sticker. He said yes and we shook hands.
Just learning the GT market but want to become a valuable P customer.
