Just done my first track day in The Joker.
Dubai Autodrome, full GP Circuit. OM ****** fooookin goodness - what a weapon. Ran out of fuel but my views:
1. Had the michelins cup 2 on - took a while to get the pressures down (kept going up) but 25PSI front and 28 PSI rear worked a treat.
2. Have steel brakes and was all standard from factory - not too shabby - no brake fade, nice feel and abs kept away.
3. Handling - kept the gizmos on as track was slippery (we were cleaning it for the 24hr race next weekend ) but had PDK sport, manual change all the time and then interesting car went best when suspension on firm - this surprised me as my previous RS (gen 2, 7) did not like firm setting here.
4. Car ran super over kerbs too - and on turn ten would jump a bit coming out of corner but chassis sublime cause it drifted with all four wheel out to the exit and never got nasty - just very predictable.
5. Front end grip was just great - could turn in and the car kept asking for more, more more - never found limit.
6. Had the pleasure of going around while 991 Cup cars were shaking down for 24hr - down the straights the RS is a beast; watching a cup car go inside me into last turn right rear wheel off the ground was entertaining.
7. Even when the car moved around, it was all very natural and controllable - was epic in fact.
8. Limiting factors for me were the tyres and suspension - man i'd love to firm her up and try slicks......
Next mods - AP brake juice, change of pads and maybe tinker with geometry when I get her corner balanced. Akro pipe tempting too....
Overall, stunned at the car - OM FOOOOOOOKIN Goodness

MSW are very good for standard stuff like corner balance, brakes etc - that's where I take mine.
Look forward to seeing you on track.

Ive been in the UK for about 10 years now and just recently moved back.. Sold my track car in london which will be missed and now getting ready for the new beast to arrive
MSW looks good, just needed a good, reliable place for trackday maintenance like brake pads etc etc.. I doubt I will be adding any mods for at least 6 months
Anyways, look forward to seeing you around

Are you going to attend 24h next week. I'm in Dubai next Friday and will head over there Friday night.
Have a day set up at Yas Monday the 18th. Driving their tourist formula cars.

I have to echo the sentiments. I also really like the green/UV combo. I know your inspiration is the Hippie 917-021 and it'll look really cool like that as well. But this looks great just how it is also! Congratulations!
