You have to see the vid. It is attached at the entry to this site. 9.46 up pikes peak. This guy was hitting near 120 ( maybe more at times) with his right rear tire approx 10 inches from the edge!!! No guardrails in some areas!! This guy was determined. Gopro has allowed us to capture so many cool things. Too bad they weren't invented 100 years ago.
I can see the thrill in his face when he realized he "joined the club". Terrific driving, and a terrific feat!!!
He will be proud of this for years to come. I would love to see him drive on a normal track when plunging down 14000 feet isn't in the back of his mind.
It's a good thing they don't try to do a 2 way average. Going down would surely have many folks flying off as gravity works!!!

This wasn't Jeff's first Pikes Peak rodeo--he has won his class eight times now, in various cars. He knows the course well. The conditions this year turned really bad after he ran, with snow closing the upper part of the course. It was a great run for him, though, a personal record and only a few tenths off the Time Attack 1 class record.
