I've seen a video (filmed in Mexico, of course) of a 991 GT3 hitting 205 on a flat surface with GPS. That was the absolute top speed she could do.

196 mph (315 kph) is the factory claim. C&D tested the car at 195 (313 kph) in 7th @ 8100.

Hard to see the tach, but 8000 rpm is at about the 2:45 position which looks more or less comparable to the needle in video. 335 kph would translate to 208 mph @ 8700 rpm and the tach would have to be at at almost the 4:00 position.

So, assuming the rpm's are correct the 335KPH readout on the speedo is optimistic, but any way you slice it the OP had that thing going fast. Impressive.

I ran the Daytona road course December 4, 5 and 6. The speedometer indicated a top speed of a little over 180 while a phone app indicated we only ran a little over 170. I do not remember the exact numbers but I do remember discussing the 10 mph discrepancy.

Speed can't kill you.

It's the rapid deceleration you have to watch out for.

Of course it is a dashboard speed but in GPS terms in Km/H (sorry i do not know the US graduation) it does around 320, which is pretty impressiv for that power. We can see that Porsche does know how to make aerodynamic cars!
Thank you guys for all the kind Words !!
I was really impressed during that hard pushing i thought it was interesting to see it for all The enthousiasts we are 👍

No matter how you slice it, safe to say we've got a 200 mph car

It's nice to _think_ but I've yet to see solid proof of that.

Remember that factory Speedometer's are less accurate the faster the car goes. And that even goes the same for the newer Electronic version's. But I would like to add I really hoped that car went that fast on that day.

By the way what was the temperature outside of the car when you were driving? Also relative humidity plays a role in that as well. To backup that speed claim one would need a secondary device measuring speed. There are even Phone Applications that measure speed based on the phone's GPS system however I don't know how reliable they can be or what their error is et al.

Maybe I should read the first part of the post. `Tis my folley
