I found an interesting post in the Autocross forum by chriswd62 that I am cross-posting here since it indicates the possible release dates in March and August for new sizes of the RE-71R from Bridgestone:
So, no 305 or larger in 20" appears to be on the horizon for this tire in the next 8 months at a minimum, but it appears that GT4 sizes will be available by August. If you have 19" rims for the GT3, you will be able to fit them with a 305 rear by August, to go with a 245/255/265 front, depending on the final diameter of the 305 and your setup preference. Here is a screenshot of what Bridgestone shows on their website as sizes that are already available:

I know it would be nice to have more tire options (I just ordered a new set of Cup 2 for $1,500) but why would any other tire company bother to manufacture an N0 20inch tire considering most people will just stick with Michelin Cups. I reckon at most only 1-200 hundred GT3 owners globally that would genuinely consider buying an alternate tire. That's a small ROI by anyone's standards.

These alternate tires will not be N-rated, and will fit far more cars than just GT3s. The MPSC2 is a fine tire, as I said in the OP, but I believe (and hope) there are far more than 1-200 GT3 owners world-wide who will track their cars and want a good high performance tire at less cost. The only alternative right now is the Trofeo R or Dunlop Sport Maxx Race, both of which are just as expensive, and don't perform any better. If you only buy one set of tires every year or two, you probably don't care. If you're going through tires every 4-6 track days, it would be nice to cut your consumable costs by $800/set or so.

Yes, you can buy them over here at a pretty good price. I got a set for 1,394 euro = $1,576 USD. Even though I don't need them right now, I thought I would get them and store them away until summer.

Cool! Finally a decent reason to get a set of 19" wheels if these tires work out well.

That's a really good price! I guess your proximity to France and the exchange rate is helping you out. Our price is nearly $2,000USD here shipped from Tire Rack without tax! The best price I have found on the Trofeo R is $2350USD. The Dunlops are just as much and not that desirable to me from what I've heard about them.

You may want to reconsider when you find out how much tax you will have to pay on it and how a house costs in Vancouver...
