Default Front tire size for GT3

About to change tires and wanted to get thoughts before I do. Possible benefits and downsides if I install 265/35 ZR 20 instead of the 245 on stock 9 x 20 rim. Will it fit properly on rim? Maybe with to 9.5 x 20 rim, will there be enough clearance? All reviews point to the superior front end grip on the RS with larger contact patch, will this be an improvement?

Yes more grip but it is a big step up in OD from 245/35. It will fit on the rim but a 265 is on the high end for a 9" wheel. Risk of (more) rubbing.

Keep in mind the aspect ratio changes based on the width, so you will have a bigger sidewall hence potential rubbing. I would leave it alone. This question has been posed before. In my opinion, I would like a little more front grip because I often feel the car is more likely to understeer than oversteer, but I trust the brilliant people engineering this car have this size for a reason that is beyond our knowledge

Tire height will only increase .55".

You'll also increase the tendency to oversteer if you don't also increase the rear traction.

I had a similar question months ago and a few guys who appear to be much more knowledgable chimed in. Maybe some of things they said could help you.
