I just took delivery of a new 2016 over the the weekend and had the dealer leave all stickers intact so that I could have my own detailer (top Cquartz/Xpel detailer) perform the full detail and Xpel. To my shock, after pulling the stickers with him, we discovered heavy amount of swirls from heavy sanding, scratches and damage from what looks like someone with very little experience doing their job at the factory. Most of the damage was where the stickers were. Anyone else experience anything like this? Where is the quality control?
That's pretty pathetic....I would have let the dealer pull the stickers, inspected the car, and then asked for remediation on their dime with your guy....luckily it's something a quality detailer will be able to easily fix....

Having black paint it shows up even worse. The pictures are under LED lights, so the 1 foot rule they probably have is fine by them. The one picture with the same zig zag patterns look like that "worm" issue we've heard of before.

A good paint correction will take care of all these high priced options that weren't on the list!
Not uncommon....black doesn't help matters. Ferrari has gotten much better since mid 2000s but was horrible for long time before then. My 10 year old must have been in charge of paint QC at Ferrari factory at one point????
Picked mine up a week ago, and had the exact same problem. Even had a few fisheyes under the clear. Had my detailer wet sand what he could, but no way in hell I'd let the dealer fix it. A good detailer will be able to correct the issues.

I had an Aston and they pride themselves on the quality of the paint. Although there was no orange peel, the wet sand marks and buffer trails were horrible. I'll see if I can find some before and after paint correction pics when I get home.

Todd at Esoteric in Ohio is very well known in detailing circles. He has a HUGE Ferrari following. I've heard guys shipping cars to him just to get work done.
That website, Detailed Image has great pro write ups. I personally use Lustr Detailing in Illinois. Ivan is also a top notch detailer.
