On average the last 2 weeks of April are the driest. This year Austin was getting dumped on by rain, so it was a little wet. The track was wet the morning session of the first two days but dried out very quickly. A monsoon struck Friday morning, I almost wrecked the rental car driving to the track!
The enclosed transport from SoCal cost $1700 round trip, definitely reasonable.

Mike, we should share a garage. I've reserved an AC one.

Nice, it was cold as hell and rainy in late Feb (30-38) when Spyerx and I went with MVP.

This was the schedule for this year: http://www.speedventures.com/the-lin...25-26_cota.pdf

4 twenty minute sessions per day. So around 25 laps per day.

Thanks - shame they don't have a few less run groups.

MVP's event also had 4 sessions per day (25 min) with 5 run groups.

Cool to see more SoCal people joining! For those who have not gone, I warn you this will be a very long 7mo wait period.

that's plenty of track time for me. sure more can be better, but I plan on stuffing myself full of BBQ and lots of paddock trash-talking and eating good dinners with the texas crew again! :-) So sometimes other priorities that complete the experience cramp track time LOL This "IS" for fun!

I opted to purchase extra sessions because I was enjoying the track so much. I ended up running 6-7 sessions per day for 3 days.

La bbq is good
We can do even better... It's a religion here you know...
Email me and we can coordinate. I don't want to double efforts on any thing. Just would be great to meet other rennlisters. I live 15 min from track. Should have an interesting RS with me by then

We live in LA, you cannot get good BBQ here (well there is one place owned by a TX transplant in Compton that is pretty good). And I travel a lot for biz, seeking out great BBQ on the road. And love BBQ, especially TX BBQ... so if you can show us the way... it will be VERY much appreciated! :-) Meat comas for afternoon sessions are A-OK in my book.
