A friend just sent me this article and not so sure what to do with it..

Anyone has more information about it???

I'm not sure that you can call this a recall of GT3's. It more like an engine that breaks and gets replaced.

this is old news of an issue affecting a few GT3s, not all of them.

A goodwill situation from Porsche or you pay out of pocket. They will probably be generous on goodwill policy and covering all or a good percentage of repair within a reasonable time after warranty is expired.

Id better drive the hell out of the car before the warranty expires then.. If this keeps happening, they will eventually have to recall all the cars.

Given the history involved, and the way Porsche has bent over backwards to date to make things right, I think you are right.

+1 Why I like buying used cars from folks who have properly driven their cars. I'm more leary of bubble wrapped creme puff cars then ones that have been properly used and maintained.
