digging this thread up from the grave.

called my nearby porsche dealer as they had a gt3 in stock (st. louis porsche). Its really the only gt3 i could find in missouri.

"sorry we don't let people test drive GT3s, however we have a few turbos and a GTS if you would like to take a look at those."

Should i check out the GTS to get a feel of what the GT3 would be like.. or would i be wasting my time? Its either that or book a vegas trip.

Drove many a turbo from most manufactures. Always fun, however. Never had my eyes became so large as the first time I pushed the accelerator in my GT3 a little to far during break in (In Auto) and had it down shift. Boy does it get going quick. It is the time to go 0 to 60 or a 100 that counts, not how you get there.

Track vs street. I think this depends on which street you are driving. I live and drive near the mountains and have yet to find anything as good as the GT3. You can use the performance longer on the track but have yet to find it an issue on the street. I don't drive it daily. To me it is an event to drive it so I do this once or twice a week in a location were I can use it a little.
