Default RS's have landed in Canada!!

Well, thankfully we're not too far behind our American and ROW friends up here in the far, far north. The first RS in Vancouver landed at the dealership recently! And a white one and GT silver one have also made it to Toronto! I agree with those who say it looks more aggressive than the GT3 (there was a white GT3 just beyond, so not too hard to compare them). And to me, all the contrasting black bits work much better in person than even the photos show. Despite hearing how large the car was, in real life, it's still a nice compact shape to me. I think it looks amazing!! What an imposing and impressive looking car! To all you lucky owners and soon-to-be-owners: big congratulations!

I agree. Pictures don't do the rs justice. In the flesh, it's a low, wide , badass car.
I'm surprised at how good silver looked...
All the contrasting black really pops

I wonder how many will land in Canada? It's usually 10% of what the U.S. gets.

Langley got 8 so far, Vancouver got 12 , Not sure about Victoria.
There are more cars in Ontario. I know some buyers got their cars form east.
Canadian Dollar is so low now. 200,700 CAD = 150K USD.
I am wondering how many Canadian cars will end up in US.

Saw one at the dealer in Oakville today. Looks fantastic!

Doubt many will end up in the US. Seems like they're all too scared of the import process, and the 2.5% duty (funny since they'll save 30% on currency)!

What colour was it? Did you ask how many allocations they received? Just curious and thank you in advance.

2.5% to save 30%? A no brainer.

Aren't the prices higher to offset any currency benefit anyway??

Call me clueless, what different specs do Canadian cars have? Just speedometer and miles/km? Also, import to US process pretty easy?

You are not clueless. Speedometer is it. The rest is easy.

I love white and silver. No offense to those that bought the crazy colors, I just like these colts way better.

Nice ride.

With the higher car MSRP's in Canada, there really is no benefit to the U.S. Exchange rate. Seems like the Canadians are getting the short end of the stick with car prices unfortunately if I'm correct.

The price differential is not sufficiently large to offset the CAD/USD at the moment. Base MSRP for the RS is $200K CAD in Canada, versus $175K USD in USA (which currently equals $230K CAD). So the Canadian price is $30K CAD ($23K USD) cheaper! Unfortunately there aren't any easy to get allocations in Canada either!
