A wingless RS reminds me of those sharks that get finned for those connoisseurs of shark fin soup.

I think it looks awesome. Anyone know where/how I could get end plates to fill the gap if I take the wing off mine? I'd like to try it and see for myself.

Here’s a couple options. For the second link, the price looks like it’s come down nearly half based on the last time I looked.

Thank you for that. Going to take the wing off to get a cursory look before I order. Just to be sure. Most likely would go with the black end caps. My car is RY with a lot of black. So that would work versus getting the machined aluminum painted to match. Might be something I only do a handful of times anyway.

I went wingless for a couple of days while my uprights were being 3D scanned and thought the car looked beyond stupid.

Stupid question - no pun intended. Stupid as in good or bad? I think that pic looks pretty good.

Bad. Really bad.

But looks are subjective, and I can understand how some might like the look.

If you don't mind me asking, why were they being 3D scanned?

You Bet! Just be aware that others have shared the rear deck fasteners have been known to spin freely and were not designed for on/off/on/off/on operations. It can lead to an expensive repair. I have not removed mine so I can’t add to or validate their comments. There’s a Rennlist string on this topic (if I remember correctly). Another issue raised is the loss of downforce during spirited driving... Just a few items to consider... best! JB
ps: Post some pics if you pull the trigger.

Thanks for that info. I think what I'll do first based on that info is have my daughter photoshop it out first before I decide. Will post those pics.

Looks like I'm going to pass on it based on the pics. It's not bad but would rather spend my time on something else. Thanks anyways.

In the pics without the wing, the car looks nose centric...might be the yellow being a lighter color. It appears like something is missing...and of course it is. Great looking RS!!! Good call...JB
