Looks and sounds amazing! Never seen Randy do his own review solo, decent effort.

I'm actually really glad MT had Randy do a solo video review.

He's articulate, eloquent and has enough screen presence to be credible without being overbearing.

Plus, in person, he's down to earth and completely genuine. Sort of like Jay Leno but a better driver by about a factor of 100.

And, he's vegetarian, interestingly.

And as an added bonus, he doesn't hoon around like a hormone-ravaged teenager like a certain Brit does. . .

I liked randy solo too, he needs a little more practice, but it's better than than him with a journalist. His monthly column in SCCA Sports Car mag is something I look forward to, he's a good writer. I expect that if he continues to do more solo videos it's going to get really good.

As far as the review, I am impressed he says this is the closest thing you can get to a race car for the street- coming from him that is pretty amazing.

accurate gear is expensive, bulky and heavy.
journos won't lug this gear around with them, so you don't want them using their iphones to measure inaccurate readings on the public roads around the joint.
it's dangerous and a waste of time and puts undue stress on brand new cars.
they can do their own measurements when the cars get tested back home by the magazines they work for.

+1 - Car and Driver does a first drive and then follows it up with an instrument test, only have a first drive on the RS so far which is the Porsche numbers:
first drive: GT3 RS 0-60 2.9 sec, 0-100 6.9 sec
instrument test: GT3 0-60 3.0 sec , 0-100 7.1 sec
first drive: GT3 0-60 3.3 sec, 0-100 7.9 sec

A great Review by Randy. Interesting that even with the 60 inch wing of the GT3RS mounted (same size as Crawford Wing on the GT3) the handling comments cited by Randy were the oversteer tendency:
"Trailing throttle oversteer"
"Power oversteer in the lower gears"
"Little Loose at Slower Speeds"

Randy also noted he felt this could be caused by the rear wheel steering in the car. This exact thought came to my mind when he was talking about the oversteer he was experiencing with the car. Randy and I both being professional racers I think this is something we both would have to adapt around since most race cars do not employ this type of system on the track.
