yes but it would take one hell of a whack...

ive scraped a few times where i was worried i broke something , still no visible damage even on the splitter.

i think youd pretty much need to run head along into an 8 inch curb.

In regard to the lift I think there are two camps, one that HAS to have the lift and the other that thinks like me that on a car like a GT3 you just don't need to complicate things with a heavy mechanism that (not sure where you guys get your money but 4K ain't chicken scratch and that buys a lot of tires/trackdays etc.) that just seems extraneous on such a performance oriented car. I know guys who won't buy a lift car as well? Six of one half dozen of the other (ha!)

It's 15 lbs, low and in front. Nobody would notice that weight. Since we're rounding cost, it's $3,000.

ha!)

I wouldn't have purchased the lift if I could get the darn car out of the drive way .....so it was a need not a want. Also on selling a car with the lift last I checked no one is having a problem selling a GT3. Most people can't get one. The lift conversation has been debated many times here. I'm of the opinion buy the car you want as everyone will build your car to their liking when asked. Good luck ....just build don't ask.

In summary:

Pro Lift:
- Reduce chances of scrapping, and damage to front bumper, splitter and etc.
- Helps with re-sale
- May cost $3k up front, but most likely will be able to gain most of the cost on re-sale.

Con Lift:
- Increase weight
- Only works if you remember to press it
- It may break
- Cost $3k...

Whether the pro outweigh the con depends on person... Just make an informed decision.

IMO , LWB are the only must have options. I am glad i did not get the lift , i have over 3k miles ...Front lip looks great , zero issues. I got the lift last time on 997.2 gt3 ....same it was not much use.

personally I believe there are 2 camps when it comes to the LWBs and resale.....those that must have them and those that absolutely do not want them....and some in between.....I believe they will in no way impact trying to sell the car down the road.....

I think the GT3s and GT4s with the LWBs will sell at a premium over a car that doesn't have them.

But only to someone who wants them. And your premium should only be the cost of the buckets. Should it sell higher? Yes it should because they cost more. That is all. No one will have issues selling a GT3.

The only option must haves are yours that you and you alone must have. No one else matters.

I think LWB look cool and are comfortable once you are in but are a PITA to get in and out of and I am athletic. Unless you track the car a lot it's just a cool factor.

Since I'm a numbers guy here's my rationale....I think there is a higher ratio of buyers looks for LWB equipped GT3s with LWB GT3s (mainly because there aren't many out there) then the ratio of indifferent/sofa seat buyers to all non-LWB GT3s. So given the supply and demand dynamics, GT3s with LWB will trade at a higher price (either at or slightly above the cost of the option).
