I will give the dealer that sent me the letter a call tomorrow to find out more about it - and will post on here what they say about it.

ahhh. is that what that is?

glad to see someone else has had it...

for me it sounds like a creaking/scraping noise...usually when backing up with the wheel almost cranked.

so is it serious? should i have them look at it? vehicle is already going in at the end of the week for rattles from the rear.

The "driving over acorns when the wheel is turned hard at slow speeds" feature is well documented and nothing to worry about. Search on rennlist and you'll find numerous posts about it.

There was a recall on the lift to tighten fittings a few months ago.
Are you sure he isn't getting the software update and this recall confused?

Have you other guys heard about this? I've got a 2015 with lift. Should I bring it in? Mine seems to work ok--pretty silent when lifted, and sounds like a whiplash when lowered.

Mine was in a couple weeks ago and they did some recall/tightening of the front lift. It seems a little quieter now. It worked fine before but it seems to work a little better now although it could be in my head.

I think there is a service notice for the possible missing pdk sport button as well.

Lift on both 997 and 991 has been such a disaster!
