I ordered them for my gt3 and cargraphic say they would make some power difference compared to their rear muffler delete they will be lighter and there should be no drone.

If used with the rear oem muffler you will still get a difference in sound between open or closed sport exhaust.
Again, all well and good, but does Cargraphic have an actual A-B dyno comparison of its system vs. stock with PSE engaged---to back up its claims?

I'm talking their full system with all 3 replacement mufflers and titanium exhaust manifold with high flow cats and cast-titanium merge collectors. I first saw it at GMG's open house in Feb, where the guy running Akrapovic USA was showing it. At that time, it wasn't ready for purchase.

I think it's something like 18k.

That one is in fact about 12k.

If someone is asking you for 18k (give or take), I'll be happy to sell you one for 15k.

Dude, I really don't care to be right, and certainly possible that I'm mistaken, but I seriously doubt that at that price, you're also getting the exhaust manifolds/cats.

I have posted the part number too. I know exactly which system you are talking about and you can purchase it for 12k plus shipping. of course it is not the msrp in the inflated U.S. market!

Do you know if the CF Diffuser is available separately?

I need a GT3 to dyno our valved side muffler bypass pipes. I think that may be your ticket.

Just a question--a question to other manufacturer as well: I assume you had a GT3 on hand to design the system--how come no dyno done then?

And it's a great question, IMHO. I'm sure this will ruffle some feathers but IIRC there were bypass and other systems that were available almost literally before the first 991 GT3's were even delivered to customers. There are changes between the 991 and 997 GT3's in how PSE works and is controlled by the ECU, and the engines generally between the two cars are very different, so it seems new testing and development should have done to make sure the systems were optimized with the new engine. Yet in many cases, I suspect, cars weren't available yet to do that. The fact that a system "fits" doesn't necessarily mean that it works better. Louder? Probably. But no negative effect on performance? Well.....

As you wrote at the top of this thread, LAGinz, I'm not willing either to give up ANY of the performance I paid for just for more noise. My $.02.

^^ +1 - Good points Mike, something everyone should think about. I'd rather stick to stock on a car this expensive/complicated than go for something not fully tested.

To be clear, I did not start this thread because I am anti-aftermarket on principle.(The last 2 cars I had had aftermarket exhausts). In fact, all things being equal, I would like a little extra sound from the GT3. I'm also certainly not against people having different priorities than me, e.g. racers who don't care so much about the low end. But for me, the responses here have pretty much solidified what I had already gleaned from looking at a number of threads. I certainly remain open though to future testing and/or developments that might result in an exhaust that, based on testing, meets my performance priorities. And is legal in Cali

Have you looked at the exhaust options that Porsche Motorsports run on the 991GT3-CUP, GT3-R and GT3-RSR? Each configuration has different parameters that they have to meet. But I believe all will lose some low end torque in exchange for gaining something up top?

Yep, and another huge benefit of leaving it stock is no warranty issues.

Looking at that some more, that thing is just so purty I might buy it just to hang in my living room wall.

Too nice for the underbelly of the car ...
