Default Anyone experienced new brake pads smoking?

I just picked up a new 2015 GT3. The car had only 14 miles when I got it and now about 200 miles. Over the weekend I was driving the car in the hilly roads at moderate speeds, so no real hard braking but on the pedal a little firmer. After a while I noticed smoke coming out of the front brakes on both sides!! It's surprising...anyone has experienced new car OEM pads smoking initially? Do you think somehow there was some type of "glazing" on the pads or the rotors that needed to be burned off?
When I slowed down and let the brakes cool down, it went away.

Anyone has experienced this?

Appreciate any feedback.

Kevin.

Haven't experienced it on the GT3, but smoking brakes after getting them very hot for the first time is pretty standard (such as during bed-in).

Thanks guys. I did not see this on my older GT3 or other cars...well, there is a first for everything I guess.

Smoke from brake pads is not a big deal. If you ever see really dark black smoke coming from the calipers after pulling into the pits (maybe if you forgot a cool-down lap), those could be the piston dust seals vaporizing. That is a bigger deal (but still doesn't need to end your day).
