Default Side Swiped

My close friend had his new ride side swiped last night! BIG Bummer...
I prefer German Auto Body here in Santa Clara.
If you have additional opinions for repair work, send me a note.

That's horrible! Was it a hit and run or did the person stop!

I've used B2 Perfection in Santa Clara with general success. Though on my last metallic car, it took them a couple tries to get a good match.

They started to "run", but saw my buddies wife and stopped...
Thank you for the alternative...

I've had good experiences with United Collision in Mountain View, CA. Give them a call, ask for Jade. He's always been awesome to me and folks I've referred.

Also, sadness.

My advise is to find the Porsche approved body shop in your area. The body on these cars is aluminum and many shops are not equipped or trained to repair these cars. I live in Seattle and we only have one shop in the entire Northwest that is Porsche certified. Queen City Auto repair. I will PM you with some contact numbers.

Listen to this fellow.

For something like this make sure your buddy uses an Authorized Porsche Collision Center. I'm sure there are at least 2 or 3 in the Bay Area. They require the guys that operate and work at these places to attend lengthy training. It makes all the difference. Respraying a bumper is one thing.

Just awful to see things like this by the way. Also make sure your buddy has his attorney get diminished value out of the other insurance co. as well. Like most of us a-holes on Rennlist and ROW we are the most picky sons of b*tches around. Even if he keeps the car until he dies he should at least try to be made whole.

TY for all the input...
The guy here around the corner @ German Auto has the Porsche Certification and I know he's personally gone to the classes...
I'll pass along all this input...

DEMAND diminished value. Do not settle, do not acquiesce.

Hire skilled and capable representation and sue their insurance company.

Looking at that pictures makes me want to vomit. Poor owner, poor GT3.
