I've heard and I've tried, and they did not come out from there. Maybe I was doing it wrong.

Is there a hole where the reflectors are if you take them out? I always thought it would be cool to take them out and putting some mesh there and use that space as a vent because it would look better than having the reflectors there and may also provide a place for hot air to escape. May even be better aero and work similarly in the way that the front fender vents on the GT3RS work and allow air to escape the area that would otherwise be stuck behind the bumper.
