I paid for it. I just haven't had it installed yet. I'm having second thoughts. I'm not sure this is worth it or if there is better options available.

The answer to your question is "No."

I wouldn't put LoJack on any of my cars. For a variety of reasons.

1. LoJack is easily defeatable

2. Even if No. 1 is not true, most thieves these days are too adroit, swift, and deft that they can essentially part the car of the expensive parts before LoJack kicks in (i.e., LEO gets notified).

3. As Maverick said, if they take it, they can keep. I want a new one. That's why I have insurance.

I would buy a lo jack if it fatally gassed the perp...with no residue issues.

There are several GPS based systems you can install in car, then track car yourself on computer...while anything can be defeated if the thief is experienced, to me your own GPS is just as effective as LoJack would lead you to believe there system is. GPS systems on market also will record speed, direction, top speed, map location, etc. in real time. Many of these systems are targeted at parents to keep tabs on teenagers when they use the family car but can be used to track your car also in event of theft. Many are also a lot less expensive than LoJack is.

Good pros will have your car in a container sealed, and on a boat to Russia in 24 hours. Good for punks that tear up the car, but honestly that's why I wouldnt want it back.

Agree for a 911.
But you might not be able to replace a GT3 for a year or two, and the next one might be a turbo. Those details make it much more important to keep the GT3 I have.

I went with LoJack. It's the only time I've had it on a car. I have the early warning option. If the car is moved without the LoJack FOB in the vehicle, the police are notified instantly, and I am texted a warning on my cell. I think it's worth it it, as long as you order the instant early warning option.
