I agree completely. The OP asked a great question. The GT3 itself is an exercise in nth degree engineering overindulgence which is completely irrelevant in 99.9% of driving situations. The whole point of the car is to overdo all the little bits.

Presumably you were also adjusting your wing angles pretty often to tune aero...
We weren't playing with wing angles as much as we were the shock/spring/sway bar package.....we tried to maximize mechanical grip before putting too much aero in the car....

Diffusers came down the road to obviously manage the aero more efficiently while reducing drag but again, the rear muffler used was never an issue.


Cats in the Cup car are 100 Cell units and they wear out too. IMSA made us replace them each year in ALMS GTC back in 2010-2013 as they would gain more power as they would wear out......
