What's AP on about?
Is AP hinting at another manual GT car?
Have a listen to the EVO GT4 interview
and start at 4:11.
Jethro: "The gearbox is manual only, what is the decision taken behind that?"
AP: "As you know we are a small team within GT Motorsport street car development. At the same time we have other projects going that I cannot tell you about at the moment but you might have a clue. And so it was a parallel project which gave us a lot of synergy so we could do that."
That sounds to me like there's another GT under development that has a manual.
Q: Does anyone agree?
Q: Which car is he talking about??

I think he was referring to the GT3 RS that was in development at the same time. He was just hinting that the GT3 RS will debut at Geneva. I wouldn't read too much into it. Trust me, if Porsche wants to throw hints out/"spy photos" they would let you know. Otherwise they keep everything under wraps and makes sure no one finds out.

Definitely this. There are spy photos on the 981 board showing the same front fascia as the GT4. Probably more GTS/X73 than GT3 underneath, but a 3.8 would allow the car to be priced closer to the $90k GT4 than the old $62k Spyder. PDK was popular on the old Spyder, so it will no doubt be offered again, which bodes well for those with some patience wanting it on the GT4.

The golden era of manual gearbox for GT cars has passed, We can always keep dreaming about one, but the fact is in order to go faster you must have a PDK. Porsche does not make newer cars go slower.
